MadWomxn Magazine
Editorial Illustration
This project was a joy to be a part of, as it allowed me to use my art to challenge societal prejudices. Created for MadWomxn Magazine, this illustration accompanies an article on woman-spreading as an act of resistance, encouraging women to reclaim their space.
I intentionally used a blue background—often associated with masculinity—and paired it with large boots, a symbol of traditionally "male" labour, to blur the lines between gender expectations. The composition exudes rebellion, embodying the ongoing struggles women face daily. Through bold visuals and typography, this piece amplifies the message of defiance and empowerment.

Rebecca
Personal Project
During my time at university studying illustration, we were assigned a project to visually interpret the chapter headings of a book provided to us. I was given Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier—a literary classic rich with gothic themes and hauntingly vivid descriptions.
Given the novel’s timeless and atmospheric nature, I chose to work with traditional pencil techniques to capture its moody, evocative essence. I meticulously analysed the text, highlighting key descriptions and immersing myself in the novel’s world to ensure that each illustration harmonised seamlessly with the narrative. Every detail was carefully considered, from the sweeping landscapes of Manderley to the underlying tension between the characters, allowing the artwork to enhance and deepen the reader’s experience.
This project was both a technical challenge and a creative exploration, refining my ability to translate literature into visual storytelling while staying true to the book’s spirit.
